In the context of the latest meeting of the European Sector Social Dialogue Committee on Woodworking and Furniture hold in Brussels on the 6th of February 2023, the Catalan furniture cluster AMBIT presented the latest developments of the FurnCSR project.

The release of the guide for the development of CSR in the furniture industry was announced for the end of March – in conjunction with the final event of the project. Similarly, the online self-assessment tool will be made public and available to all European companies in the wood-furniture supply chain to measure their level of maturity in the development of CSR strategy and to be able to consult 442 good practices and 204 inspiring business cases.

FurnCSR aims to contribute to improve the social dialogue among employers’ and employees’ National and EU Associations and to set common pathways for defining and implementing systematic CSR strategies and bring benefits and growth to all players and stakeholders in the wood-furniture industry: from company employees, to suppliers, to customers, to local communities and territory.
